Here is an example of a major driveway refurbishment for a local GP at his home. The brief was to create an extensive parking area and driveway to access the property, also to reduce the gradient on the existing ramp to the house and garage which was very steep. It involved demolition of the existing hard surface and walls and was followed by cutting and filling the area to create new levels and a gradual slope to access the elevated site.
The compacted sub-base was overlaid using Marshall’s Tegula paving retained by brick walls and the surrounding area planted with new trees and shrubs to form a transition from paving to lawn level.
